ISES RI Makes a big impact at the SEARCH fundraiser - The Big Give in the Big Easy
The SEARCH Foundation hosted its 12th annual fundraiser on January 14, 2010 in New Orleans as part of The Special Event Conference. The SEARCH Foundation supports event professionals confronted with a catastrophic occurrence and fosters, develops and promotes educational initiatives for the advancement of the industry. An estimated 300 guests attended the event held at Bourbon Vieux, located right in the heart of Bourbon Street.
ISES RI President, Kim Crawley presented the SEARCH foundation with a check for $1,500 on behalf of the ISES RI Chapter to help support SEARCH and event professionals in crisis.
Larry Greeen, ISES RI Director of Finance and SEARCH Foundation Past Chairman, was also recognized that evening for his generous contributions and unconditional dedication to the special events industry.
ISES RI had a strong representation and presence at the SEARCH event and The Special Events Conference with more than 20 individuals from Rhode Island. The night was filled with great excitement and entertainment, complete with a touch of beeds and Mardi Gras from the largest balcony on Bourbon Street.
Whether it was pledging money, bidding on an auction item or even just attending the event, all guests helped make a difference. An amazing $112,000 was raised that evening!
